Built a recognisable internal brand around Workvivo’s annual employee event, carrying it across the physical and digital experience.

Understanding the problem
Every year, Workvivo hosts an annual company event for their employees. Over the past few years, the company has grown, from a start-up to a scale-up, going from less than 50 employees to more than 300. As the company grew, so did this event.
Company culture is something Workvivo prides itself on, so this event is of high importance to senior leadership. All employees from around the world gather in a selected location to meet, connect, and re-energise for the year ahead. It’s something people always look forward to.

The big idea
I was appointed creative lead of this event for the years 2025 and 2026. Leading the creative direction on this event includes choosing the theme and swag deliverables, designing the event identity, working with vendors, designing and coordinating the creative for the event, and aligning with stakeholders to ensure everything goes smoothly on the day.
The WOW team is a cross-functional team, with at least one member chosen to represent each department in the organization. It’s exciting to all get into a room, put our heads together, brainstorm, and figure out how we’re going to pull off our crazy ideas every year.

The process
For WOW’25, the theme was “breaking records” to represent the amazing work the company had achieved that year. I created a merch table for the event swag, designed tour t-shirts, wristbands, worked with stakeholders to weave music transitions into the presentations, and ultimately transformed the event into our very own music festival.
For WOW’26, the theme was “lightyears ahead” to represent our biggest product launches to date. WOW stands for “World of Workvivo” but this year, I wanted to create an entire universe to symbolise the company expanding into new, exciting territories. We had lighting effects, projectors, drapery, and even invited an Irish astronaut to come and speak with us at the event. It was our very own universe.
The result
The event would last 2-3 days and be filled with exciting updates, creativity, and fun.
As a Workvivo employee, I loved being a part of this event and creating something that my colleagues would enjoy. Delivering it end-to-end, having complete creative ownership, and helping organise the chaos was always so fun, exhilarating and exhausting all at the same time!
